TSL2561: Digital Luminosity & Infrared Lux Sensor
The TSL2561 is a high-precision light-to-digital converter that transforms light intensity into a digital signal output. Unlike simple light sensors, the TSL2561 features dual photodiodes: one for full-spectrum light and one for infrared light. By combining these readings, the sensor can approximate the human eye’s response and provide accurate Lux measurements under varying lighting conditions.
Programmable Integration: Adjust gain and timing on the fly to match your environment.
Dual-Diode Design: Separately measures infrared and visible light for superior accuracy.
Wide Dynamic Range: Capable of sensing from near-total darkness (0.1 Lux) to bright sunlight (40,000 Lux).
I2C Interface: Digital output eliminates the noise and inaccuracy of analog sensors.
