Which display for a C3 if all I need is text
I need three lines of digits, nothing else. I'm looking at an SSD1306 128×64 over I²C — will it definitely come up on a C3?
Or should I just take a TFT and not bother?

The SSD1306 comes up fine, and it's the least troublesome option for a C3 — two wires and DISPLAY_DRIVER SSD1306. For three lines of digits a TFT is overkill and will eat half your flash on the font.
